it's britney bitches, and i'm back

After my short break from being a productive member of society, I feel like I am on my way to being back. I'm probably a week or two behind right now physically, but mentally I am feeling way better. Last night I did the trainer/run workout and it's the best I've felt at training in awhile. I actually didn't dread going. I did the pool workout tonight and while it was tough, I felt great when it was done.
Tomorrow is another run workout and then I'm going to try to kick it up a notch and maybe throw in some P90x soon. We'll see. I think having pink hair is making me invincible!

brush yourself off and try again

I have been the shittiest athlete ever lately. Week one of training was really shitty. I skipped a workout and don't feel like I gave it my all. Frankly, I don't care all that much. I have had a pretty shitty couple of weeks and just getting to work and not getting fired has taken all of my energy. Tomorrow starts a new training week and I am hoping to turn it all around!

day 1

Today begins Day 1 of Honu half Ironman training. Right now I feel very overwhelmed and that it is not possible that I will be ready for this race in a mere 3 months. I can't wait to come back and read this on June 3.

i once was lost, but now am found. was blind, but now I see.

I haven't been posting much, mostly because I haven't been working out so there is really nothing to say. Today I lost one of the most important people in my life. My amazing grandma who at 95 beat sepsis and almost beat pneumonia but just couldn't over come it.

She will be my inspiration for the upcoming Honu training. I only have 2 more days to pout and be a slug and then it's on! Honu 2012 training begins Thursday!

I currently have no motivation to workout. I haven't really done anything in about a week. I'm not too concerned yet though.... Honu training starts next week!!!

you got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away and know when to run

I'm not sure what I would be doing right now if I were in New Zealand. One of my good training friends who has trained her ass off flew to New Zealand last week to participate in her first ever full Ironman. If anyone was ready for an Ironman finish it was Stacia. We had a super fun dinner, got her some fun travel gifts and sent her on her way. The race was going to be tomorrow New Zealand time.

Today I just heard, IMNZ cancelled for Typhoon. Instead they will have a 70.3 on Sunday. She is actually handling it very well, but she's normally a very calm person.

How would you guys handle this? I think I would have a breakdown. Literally.
